Thurnby Lodge Primary Academy, part of The Mead Educational Trust Our Statement “We are all encouraged to grow, learn and succeed together within a safe, friendly and stimulating environment.” Thurnby Lodge Primary is an Academy with pupils aged 3 to 11 years. The school currently has approximately 216 children on roll. We have 1 class per year group. We have special provision for children with speech and language needs.

• Specially equipped provision for Foundation children (3 - 5 years)
• Bright, spacious and well planned accommodation for Key Stage 1 (5- 7 years) and Key Stage 2 (7 - 11 years)
• Extensive outdoor provision & sports’ field At Thurnby Lodge, our aim is to provide every child with the opportunity to achieve their potential and to participate in all areas of school life.

We recognise that some children may need extra support at some time and we endeavour to meet all needs. Our last Government OFSTED Inspection Report (Jan ‘10) graded us as satisfactory overall. Most categories were good. Our care, guidance and support of pupils was graded as OUTSTANDING. Our school aims to be an inclusive school. We work to overcome any barriers to learning. Our pupils are treated fairly and there is equality of opportunity.  We promote inclusive values and practices. The school has been awarded the international Inclusion Quality Mark.  We value many types of success including the ability to cooperate with others and artistic and sporting abilities.
